Nowadays, ladies have become so chic in their style of clothing that every wardrobe or attire is a product of careful evaluation. There’s no doubt in my mind that every woman is aware of the fashion benefits a cardigan can offer. Among the various outfits in a lady’s collection, cardigans certainly score high when it comes to level of significance especially in day to day casual wear. Not only are they fashionable, they also provide warmth and comfort to the wearer that’s why cardigans are very ideal during cold spells and winter. Moreover, vintage cardigans can blend well with any upper garment such as shirts, blouses and tops. Cardigans can be very useful especially when you only have a limited number of upper apparels because they can give your tops a more unique element.

When we say long cardigans, this usually pertains to cardigans that have long sleeves. Actually, majority of the cardigans out there are actually long sleeved. However, cardigans which cover parts of the lower body are also called long cardigans by some people. As I have just mentioned, most of the cardigans we see today are long and have a plain design. They’re great when worn inside jackets and over shirts. When the jacket is taken off, the cardigan keeps the necktie aside and serves as a waistcoat that is not too formal.
There are women who have the ability of knitting their own cardigans. They knit the body part as a solo piece in an uncomplicated back and forth style. Circular knitting is required in case you’re doing a pullover. There’s also the option of knitting the torso part of the cardigan in three separate pieces (a piece for the back and two for the front). The V-shaped neckline is the most widely used. Also popular among the ladies is a type of cardigan called a shrug. This is a special type of cardigan that’s made specifically for women. It looks like a smaller version of a vest. With only a strip of fabric running along the back, the two sleeves are actually the major part of the shrug.
